Happy "White" Friday: Head to the slopes! Canyons Resort starts spinning lifts today. The resorts and the higher elevations are a great escape from the poor air quality along the Wasatch Front, and the low level clouds for all of eastern and southeast Utah. If the recent weather is one thing, it's consistent. Skies will be mostly sunny, except over the Uinta Basin, and from Price through Green River to Moab, down to Hanksville where there's low clouds and fog. Highs will mainly be in the 40s and 50s today, and Saturday and Sunday. It's next week when a strong cold front will move in with MUCH MUCH colder air, MUCH MUCH cleaner air, a lot of wind, and snow. Right now, snow should develop across northern Utah on Tuesday, and continue in parts of the state through the remainder of the week. This looks like a couple inches in the lower elevations, and a 6-12" type accumulation for the mountains. It still is a ways off, so the snowfall amounts are still up in the air. However, get ready for a wintry blast the first half of December.
Have a great weekend!
~Curtis Ray
